Q: Do I need training?

A: To ensure you have the best chance of passing your assessment, we recommend you undertake training. If you were trained some time ago, refresher training is recommended, as standards may have changed. To find a Training Provider, please  contact us.

Q: How do I apply for assessment?

A: Explanatory notes will be provided with your application form. Complete the form and send it with your cheque payment to the co-ordinator.

  • Fees must be paid in advance.
  • There is a registration fee as well as an assessment fee.
  • You will need to provide a passport size photograph with your application.

Q: What happens next?

A: An Assessor will contact you (or your employer) to arrange a suitable date and time for the assessment to take place.

Q: Where will the assessment take place?

A: These  can take place at your  workplace or an  alternative site  which meets the  appropriate  assessment requirements

Q: What do I do if need a replacement Certificate?

A: If you require a replacement certificate you will need to contact City & Guilds.  Please log onto: www.nptc.org.uk, on the right hand side on the home page there is a section called Copy Certificates, this has all the information you will need.
